How To Apply

Step 1. Letter of Inquiry

To determine whether your program is eligible and might fit with the Ross Foundation, please read our Guidelines and Who Can Apply links.

You may email a one-page summary (English only) by following the Letter of Inquiry requirements found under Grant Seekers on our website.  Email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .

The Foundation will reply to all inquiries within three weeks.  If you receive an invitation to apply, proceed to Step 2.

Step 2. Grant Proposal

Please refer to our Guidelines for all proposal requirements and follow our General Proposal Outline.  If you are applying outside the United States, additional requirements are listed under Who Can Apply.

Construction, building or renovation requests must be accompanied by proof that you are the organization that holds title (ownership) to the property or can document that you have been given the right to use the property.

Step 3. Decision Making Process

If the Ross Foundation is interested in your project but finds that your proposal is incomplete, we will contact you and try to assist you with the necessary information.  The Board of Trustees meets quarterly to evaluate and approve grants.
